SDGs (Sustainability)
Through the SDG Challenge, Abundance for all in the world.
The SDGs*, which specify 17 goals and 169 targets, are not just about solving environmental problems,
it is a way for people, companies, and society to continue to live soundly and securely for 10 years, 100 years, and beyond.
Our corporate activities in the future must also be designed to firmly support a recycling-oriented society.
*Abbreviation of “Sustainable Development Goals” in Japanese.
Adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015, this goal was set to be achieved over a 15-year period through 2030.

Environmental Concerns:
Conventional cleaners are petroleum products and contain harmful chemicals that are likely to destroy nature. The non-profit
Environmental Working Group (EWG)
reports that many household cleaners contain volatile organic compounds ( VOGs ). The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reports that VOGs are classified as the worst environmental hazard and also cause health problems in some sources of air pollution.
Health Issues:
According to EWG, 53% of conventional cleaners contain ingredients that are harmful to the lungs. By using them, there is also a 50% chance that cleaning staff and customers will be exposed to dangerous chemicals.
It is well known that ammonia is very dangerous when mixed with bleach. It is a potent irritant that can cause asthma and other respiratory problems. However, because it evaporates quickly, ammonia is conventionally used as a basic ingredient in many cleaners.
Chlorine is another chemical used in many cleaners that is harmful to the respiratory system. Prolonged inhalation of vapor fumes from chlorine bleach and other chemicals can be dangerous.
Conventional cleaners are effective, inexpensive, and readily available. However, they are a potential health hazard not only to cleaning staff but also to customers.

We will limit the use of conventional cleaners to limited applications and refrain from using them as much as possible. We will also use more environmentally friendly cleaners that are kind to the environment, our customers, and our cleaning staff, such as those listed below.
